Welcome to the first of what we hope to be many more blog posts under the AIS banner. It has been a little over 18 months since we rebranded and moved away from the Levertech companies, unfortunately Levertech Engineering entered Administration in June 2024, with Levertech High Voltage being acquired by Hardtech HV.
Whilst we can look over the last 18 months recognising the hard work and achievements by all those involved, it’s worth remembering the origins of AIS date back much further, starting with William Steward Ltd, a company incorporated in 1933, remaining private until being acquired by ABB in 1995, moving to a private company Inviron in 2004 – 2011, becoming a public listed company until 2014, and then back to a private company 2014 – to date as ais Ltd, formerly Levertech Aviation.
Whilst the challenges of the last few years may have left there marks, its good to understand our heritage to allow ourselves to steer a path to a successful and secure future for all involved.
