MAG – IT Long Stay CCTV Survey

The Challenge

The project required a thorough survey of the existing CCTV infrastructure within the busy Long Stay car park to identify coverage gaps, assess equipment condition, and plan for a crucial security system upgrade. The primary challenge was executing this detailed audit with minimal impact on both daily airport operations and passenger convenience. This necessitated working in a live, public-facing environment with constant vehicle and pedestrian movement, requiring a methodical approach to ensure both safety and data accuracy without causing disruption or compromising security coverage during the survey.

Our Approach

Our approach was built on meticulous pre-planning and close collaboration with MAG stakeholders. We developed a phased survey schedule, coordinated to align with periods of lower traffic flow where possible. Our teams conducted systematic, on-the-ground assessments of every camera position, pole, and cable route, verifying fields of view and checking the physical integrity of the installation. Throughout the process, we maintained clear communication with MAG security and operations teams to ensure our activities were seamlessly integrated into the site’s daily routine.

The project delivered a definitive and actionable report that detailed the exact ‘as-is’ state of the entire CCTV system.
