The Challenge

The project involved the complex refurbishment of the prestigious Emirates Lounge, a critical and high-profile passenger facility. The key challenge was executing a high-quality, comprehensive upgrade within a tightly constrained operational timeline, all while working directly adjacent to an active lounge. This demanded meticulous planning to ensure zero disruption to the premium passenger experience, requiring seamless coordination with airline staff, airport operations, and multiple construction trades in a live airport environment.

Our Approach

Our approach was founded on deep collaboration with the client, FADO, and all stakeholders. We developed a highly detailed, phased programme that aligned all works with the lounge’s operational quiet periods. This involved precise logistical planning for material deliveries, establishing protected work zones, and implementing stringent noise and dust control measures. Through daily coordination and proactive communication, we ensured that every trade could work efficiently while maintaining the integrity and calm of the operational lounge space.
